Japfest 2 Track Time Rules
Please ensure you read the Track Time Rules before booking, and you book the correct session for your level of track experience. Track Time is non-refundable.
Hot Tip!
You MUST bring both parts of your driving licence on the day. This is commonly forgotten and will result in you not being able to take your car out on track.

Drivers
• All drivers must be 18 or over
• All drivers must be at least 5’2” tall
• All drivers must have a full driving license and must be able to display both parts on the day of the event
• All drivers must attend a briefing before going out on track
• An ACU/MSA approved crash helmet is compulsory
• Drivers must have arms & legs covered at all times whilst driving, no overalls will be available for hire on the day
• Seatbelts are compulsory
• Drivers must sign an indemnity and fill in all relevant track paperwork before going out on track
• Video cameras may be used if securely attached to the vehicle and authorised by the Clerk of the Course
• No alcohol shall be consumed by users of the Circuit

Passengers
• Only front seat passengers are permitted
• Passengers must be 18 or over
• All passengers must be at least 5’2” tall

• Passengers must have arms & legs covered at all times whilst in the car, no overalls will be available for hire on the day
• Seatbelts are compulsory
• Passengers must sign an indemnity before going out on track

Driving standards:
• All drivers must attend a briefing before going out on the circuit and these must be followed
• Treat your first lap as a sighting lap
• Towing eyes to be fitted
• Racing is not permitted
• No headlights
• No loose or hand held objects are allowed in vehicles whilst on the circuit
• Watch for and obey flag/light signals
• The Circuit will be used by all vehicles in a clockwise direction only and the continental rule (drive on the right, overtake on the left) will be observed at all times
• Overtake on the straight only
• Overtake on the left hand side only after the car in front has moved over to the right
• Drivers must not overtake in Red zones or after the brake signs
• Check your mirrors regularly
• Any driver spinning, racing or driving dangerously will be reported and may be refused extra track time
• Drive slowly in the paddock, there will be a lot of pedestrians – be aware of them
• When leaving the track at the end of your session you must use the slip road into the pitlane
• Drivers will be watched at all times, if reported the driver will get a yellow card
• If a driver gets 2 yellow cards they will be banned along with the car
• Any decision made by Donington Park staff is final
• Donington Park Leisure Limited reserves the right to remove any client/vehicle from the circuit
• Anyone found to be passing his/her wristband to another person to allow unauthorised access to the track will be escorted from the premises, be banned from attending future events and be blacklisted with all UK Track Day operators
Vehicle restrictions:
• Your car must be in-keeping with Japfest 2
• Your vehicle must be in suitable condition for circuit driving and to MOT test standards
• Cars fitted with slick tyres are not permitted on track
• Tyres must meet the recommended pressure for high speed driving
• Do NOT overfill petrol tanks
• 3 wheel cars are not permitted on the circuit
• All vehicles will be sound checked prior to taking to the circuit
• All vehicles must comply to the strict noise limit of 100db(A)
• Measured at 1/2 metre from the exhaust outlet at 4500rpm
• There will be a range of bolt-on “Silencing Accessories” available for purchase on site
• The Donington Park Marshals reserve the right to refuse any car from being driven on the circuit for whatever reason – their decision is final

Flag and traffic light signals:
Watch for and obey flag/light signals.
Black Flag – SLOW DOWN, leave circuit, report to pit lane marshal or Race Control
Red Flag/Lights – SLOW DOWN, session stopped, do not overtake, leave the circuit where directed or return to the pit lane
Yellow Flag/Flashing Lights – Extreme caution, hazard ahead, do not overtake
Chequered Flag – End of session, complete the lap and enter the pit lane
Yellow/Red Stripes – Slippery conditions water/oil/fuel, proceed with care
